Canadian Tai Chi Academy – Annual General Meeting
Thursday July 3
The board will be holding the national annual general meeting for 2024 in London during the Central Region Instructor Training Workshop. The current plan is to hold the AGM in the evening of July 3rd.
The board secretary (Barry Kelly) will be issuing the formal notice of AGM and the supporting information (financials, agenda, proxy forms, etc.) at a future date once plans have been finalized.

You must submit a registration form for each workshop you wish to attend. Please submit your forms promptly to assist with the planning of the workshop. Some workshops have limited capacity so you will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
For the Instruction Training Workshop, priority will be given to Central Region Instructor (CTCA members). All others who apply to attend, will be evaluated and placed on a waiting list.
The deadline to submit your registration form is June 1st 2025 (23:00 EDT).
No registrations will be accepted after the deadline.
When you submit your registration form, you will be sent an email reply to confirm which workshop programs your registration has been accepted or placed on a wait list. Please allow 48 hours for your registration to be processed by the workshop volunteers. The workshop organizers will inform you of any extra fees related to any additional accommodation and meals requested on the registration form(s). Please review the acknowledgement email to ensure that your accommodation and meals needs are accurate and reflect when you are planning to arrive and depart from the workshop.
You must submit the following with each workshop you wish to sign up for:

Incomplete registration packages will result in the person not being registered for the program.

The accommodation (Merlin House) is located at Fanshawe College where the workshop will be held. The accommodation Includes free parking and Wi-Fi. Each suite contains four bedrooms, two bathrooms and kitchenette (fridge, microwave) & cable TV. Each bedroom has a privacy electronic lock with a double bed and includes towels, all bedding, shampoo, soap, etc. Onsite laundry is available. The rooms will be organized into Men’s Suite, Women’s Suite and members can organize their own group of 4 (send list of roommates). Merlin House and is located a short walking distance to the building where the Gymnasium, Alumni Lounge and Oasis Dining Hall are located.

You can make alternative accommodation plans at your own cost and receive a 50% discount to your workshop fee. You will be responsible for travelling to and from the workshop venue. - All breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be served buffet style and will be provided at the college. Specific meals are included as part of the workshop fee and are identified on the registration form.
- If you request meals on the registration form that are not included in the workshop fee you will be required to pay for the extra meals
- There will be snacks available at the morning and afternoon breaks.
- If you choose not to select the meal option, you will be responsible for your own meals and will receive a 50% discount on the workshop fee.
- When you register for the workshop, if you select to have meals included in the workshop fee, you will asked to select a menu option:
- Vegetarian
- Gluten Free
- Vegan
- All meals do not contain Pork or Alcohol
- You must choose the menu plan you will follow for all meals. Please do not select an item from another menu – there is only enough servings prepared for the number of people who have selected each menu

The workshop fees have been established by the Central Region for each workshop. The workshop fees have been set by the IDT (Instructor Development Team) and workshop organizers to help cover the workshop costs. There is a workshop fee for CTCA Members and non-members. See the specific program for the rates and any restrictions on who can attend the workshop. There is no single day rate.
If a member is not staying at the conference centre and/or is providing their own food (special dietary needs), the workshop fee is decreased by 50%. If a member cannot afford the workshop fee, they may apply for a discount to the workshop fee. If a member does not utilize the on-campus accommodation or the meal service a minimum fee has been established for each workshop.
You are asked to complete payment of your workshops fees before the workshop start date. You can pay at the registration desk. Once the final registration date has passed, the Academy will be required to pay for your accommodation and meals whether you attend the workshop or not. You may cancel or make changes to your registration up to the registration cut-off date. If you require additional time to pay your workshop fees, an installment plan can be arranged.

You can pay for your workshop fees once your registration has been confirmed by the workshop organizers. If you did not receive a registration confirmation email within 48 hours of submission of your registration, please contact the organizers at Fanshawe2025@LondonTaiChi.ca. All fees are in Canadian Dollars. The registration confirmation message will identify which workshop(s) you have been registered for and the fees that apply. You can either pay in advance or on arrival at the workshop.
The London Location is managing the workshop and will process all fee payments. The London Location can process the following types of payment methods:
- Email Payment (e-transfer Interac – please add your name, location and ‘Fanshawe Workshop Fee’ to the comment) to Fanshawe2025@LondonTaiChi.ca
- Cash (in person only)
- Cheque (Payable to the Canadian Tai Chi Academy or CTCA)
- Debit Card (*PayPal)
- Credit Card (*PayPal)
- Registration Desk: Cash, Cheque, Debit Card and Credit Card
If you do not wish to pay your workshop fees through either PayPal or by email / e-transfer, you can request to be issued a manual invoice which you can include with your cash or cheque payment. Please allow sufficient time for any payment sent by Canada Post to London.
*PayPal Payments: Once the registration process is completed, we can issue you a PayPal invoice which you can then pay by debit and credit card through a secure online payment service (foreign currency is supported).

All of the workshop activities will occur on the Fanshawe College campus including accommodation, meals, workshop practice space, break-out rooms, and workshop registration desk located in the Alumni Lounge.
